Kyrie Irving's Pro Life

 

Irving announced that he would leave his final three seasons of eligibility and enter the 2011 NBA Draft, He was selected the #1 pick overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He signed an agent in early May 2011. Irving signed a contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers with rookie teammate Tristan Thompson on December 10, 2011. At the start of the 2012–13 NBA season, Irving hurt his index finger in a loss to the Dallas Mavericks. For the season, Irving missed a total of 23 games due to injuries. He averaged 22.5 points, 5.9 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game, as the Cavaliers again failed to make the playoffs. They ended up finishing with a 24-58 record. On February 28, 2014, Kyrie recorded his first career triple double with 21 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in a 99-79 win over the Utah Jazz. On that note it was also the Cavaliers' first triple double since March 16, 2010, when LeBron James had 29 points, 12 boards and 12 assists against the Detroit Pistons.
